How long have you been in business?
I have been in business since March 25, 2010.
What is your primary product or service?
We sell every type of insurance to meet your needs. We carry insurance from multiple providers, therefore; we can shop your needs to more than 20 providers and always come back to you with the lowest possible rates. We won't try to sell you products you don't need or push specific brands on you. We give you the freedom to choose what fits your needs best.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have worked in insurance or sales for most of my adult career. In my experience, many customers are not getting the lowest prices possible for insurance coverage. They don’t have the time to call multiple insurers and fill out endless paperwork just so they can get quotes. It is so important not to pay too much for insurance. As I noticed this trend, I began thinking about ways we could improve how insurance is offered to customers.
I further debated this topic as I realized how many people I had to turn away from even getting insurance because of pre-existing conditions, a record or because they were high-risk candidates. I knew there were companies out there who would cover these candidates, but not many individuals knew where to find these companies. This often led to frustrated individuals who eventually gave up trying to get coverage because they couldn’t find someone to cover them. This made me realize there was a whole market of people not getting the insurance coverage they needed, simply because no one had made it readily available to them.
It was then I decided to go into business for myself. I created Scoggins Insurance out of my desire to see more people get affordable, reliable insurance coverage.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We sell insurance from more than 20 leading providers. Because we aren’t trying to sell you insurance from a specific company, we make sure to get you the best rates based on a broad search of many different providers. We sell every type of insurance you can imagine. You name it, we insure it. We also serve Spanish clients
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are located at 11051 S. Memorial Dr., Ste. 200, Tulsa, OK 74133. We currently have only one location.
